Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR) is the flow of stomach contents into the area around your voice box.
LPR causes respiratory issues including coughing, wheezing, post nasal drip, mucus production and is often coupled with symptoms including a hoarse voice, feeling of something lodged in the throat, and difficulty swallowing.
LPR can contribute to other ailments such as inflammation of the mucus membranes, middle ear inflammation, post nasal drip, and asthma.
